Invest in art, save a life, become part of a legacy.
Art functions as a beacon of hope, as a tool for revolution, it brings forth the sacred and the mystical. Throughout the ages art has been the most well-preserved artifact of our history. Art is fundamental to human nature. Men, women, children…all creators. However, 90 percent of this preserved art was created by men. In the dawn of a new millennium, it is imperative for us to broaden the visual record of our footprint on Earth. That being said, I hereby dedicate my life’s energy to adding volume, sparks, and then fire to the art world…exploding like the Big Boom over this city, and resurrecting a sense of hope as well as providing a myriad of new media tools. With this letter, I am launching an organization, Womyn’s Lives, Womyn’s Ways: Giving Back to the Givers of Life.
The seed of this organization has been growing within me for years. The catalyst for setting it into motion is my dear mama. She is suffering from MS, and I figure that if I don’t put my entire soul, heart, action, and energy into facilitating her healing, all other triumphs will be shadowed. I need to walk in the light so I am calling on all angels here and now, as well as those who know a good deal when they see one.
In our uncertain times, art is a more viable investment than the stock market. I am offering this collection of decorative prints, signed first editions, sterling silver Italian handmade photo-jewelry, and wearable organic art in the form of t-shirts, panties, and other good things. One-hundred percent of proceeds will go to the Jenny Love MS Angel Fund, and thereafter, into Womyn’s Lives, Womyn’s Ways, which will focus on various aspects of the experience of womanhood. As half of humanity, women’s authentic voices are rarely heard. Women’s hopes and desires for the future of this world are not being enacted, are largely ignored, and more often than not, are brutally silenced
In addition to receiving whatever goods you order, your name will be added to a “Thank You” page that will be included in my upcoming book, We Are Never the Same Person Twice: A Diary of Many. This testament of gratitude will be printed internationally. You will become part of a legacy; your namesake woven into a grassroots tapestry of dreams materializing. I am not asking for charity, but rather looking to give more than I receive. Like I say, I am ready for a show at the Guggenheim so this is the prelude, the sneak preview. For as long as I have breath in my lungs, I will be birthing art unto gallery walls…here, there, everywhere. Think of how exhilarating it will be to invest in something worthy from someone who neither gave into the black market of bombs and boob jobs nor walked the path of the corporate bastard.
